Encourage people to dream, encourage them to imagine something bigger than what exists now, encourage them to think of possibilities far greater than anyone has ever imagined before. When you do these things, you allow people to let their imaginations take them to new highs and cross boundaries that have never before been crossed. Let yourself and those around you dream big…

Never Underestimate the Power of Your Gifts

Everyone has unique gifts, talents, abilities, and strengths. Don’t let anything or anyone stifle the beautiful gifts you have to offer the world. If music fills you up with joy in a way that nothing else can, embrace it, run with it, find a way to make it what your life is all about.

Something that has been missing so far from my blog is music, but rest assured, it is going to become a major part of FYSL. Check out Jake Miller’s song on how pursuing his passion allowed him to change people’s lives all over the world.

Appreciating What You Have

Ipod Granada Random 014

Many times we neglect how much we live in excess living in the United States. Driven by a capitalist economy, we constantly crave more and more and more. Rarely do we ever consider what life would be like if we didn’t even know how or if we would eat that day.

In today’s post I have included a link to a webpage  that shows a picture of a week’s worth of food for people in countries all over the world.

When scrolling through these pictures, I want you to try and see where you see the biggest, purest, most genuine smiles. Is it with the people who have the most? Or is it with those who appreciate what they have the most? You decide…

“It’s Not About What You Have, It’s About What You Do With What You Have”

Sean Stephenson is one of the most inspiring speakers I have ever come across in my life. This man has osteogenesis imperfecta, a rare bone disease that causes bones to be extremely brittle. Most people with his condition do not live past the first few years of their lives but Sean miraculously has not only lived, but flourished  The attitude he chooses and the life he has created for himself is nothing short of phenomenal.

To hear Sean’s story in less than five minutes click this link below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmhxEd81Ghk

To learn how to connect with everyone in  your life and to learn how to completely change your perspective on your day to day life, take a look at the video below. It is a longer video from Sean’s speech at Awesomeness Fest 2010 but it is worth every minute, I hope you enjoy it…

One of My Best Friend’s Adventure Across Country

One of my best friends in the world is currently on a cross country bike trip with his dad that started just a few short days ago in California. Averaging over 100 miles per day they have been cruising past state after state towards their ultimate goal of crossing the entire United States. Check out their latest update below:
