Break the Monotony, Break the Cycle, Free Yourself from Your Routine! (M.I.F.M.O.L.)

Are you stuck in a rut? Do you feel the monotony of your routine slowly wearing you down to the point where you feel numb? Does it feel like you are living out someone else’s life, not the life you always envisioned for yourself? Then it is time to break your routine!

This video “I Could Be The One” by Avicii and Nicki Romero is a humorous and interesting look at what life looks like for many of us I imagine. We have these grand, beautiful visions of what life could be in our head; of the life we know we are meant to live. We lie down in our beds at night and close our eyes then drift off to a wonderland of adventures, romance, and excitement. Then unfortunately, we wake up to our reality; a reality that in many cases is not what we had dreamed.

At the of the video, the main character finally decides to take her life into her own hands and has an unfortunate accident. I believe the video creators wanted to use this video as a metaphor to motivate. Showing people that life can come to an end in the blink of an eye, so don’t waste one minute of it not doing what you love!

Realize that you can make anything happen, you can make all your dreams come true, and most importantly, you can make the vision in your head the life you wake up to everyday. How would it feel to have your eyes open in the morning, and have the world you live in be better than the ones you imagine in your sleep?

You can do it, you can shape and form your own reality to become anything you want it to be. If you are unhappy, don’t wait for things to change. Take matters into your own hands and start doing the things you love, working towards your goals, loving more, and finding ways to appreciate all the little things in life.

Let’s all take a step forward this week, a step towards making our dream world our reality. Even one step further, let’s make our reality better than any of our wildest dreams!
