(S.T.S. and L.C.S.) Nick Vujicic, “Life Without Limbs”

“Life is worth living you find purpose.” – Nick Vujicic

Nick Vujicic, is a remarkable man with an incredible story. A man who was born without arms or legs and has chosen to lead a remarkable life. A life dedicated to helping people find themselves and find faith in God. This 58 minutes speech (less than two TV shows) will change your life, please give it a listen…

“The power of encouragement, you can save a person’s life!”

Nick details one story from his life when he was at a friend’s house for a small party. As the  party was coming to a close, his friends two and a half-year old daughter was running around and giving each and every guest a hug before she left.

After hugging almost everyone at the party she turned to Nick and then froze in her tracks, staring at him intently. She stood there for about 25 seconds before making any movements. Finally, when she did move, she came over to Nick, put her arms behind her back, and leaned in and hugged him with her neck. She had been trying to figure out how to hug a man with no arms and legs!

We often say we don’t know how to love, be compassionate, or show others that we care. A 2 and a half-year old took a few seconds to figure out something that would cause most adults to feel very uncomfortable and awkward. Simply making the effort to show someone you care is one of the most important things you can do in your life.

It is so important to stop placing so much importance on what others may think of us and to focus on who we are deep down. Being true to yourself is the key to finding real, everlasting joy. Work to stop caring so much about other’s words and focus on being the person you want to be and know you are. Once you do this you will find the people who are meant to be in your life will stay and the ones that you are meant to leave behind will go.

Take a moment to reflect on who you really are and what you really want from life, then let that person come to life in how you act every single day.
