Exercise is one of the easiest ways to drastically change your life in a relatively short period of time. It will not only improve how you look and feel, but most importantly your mental condition. By exercising you can ultimately eliminate the need for any type of antidepressant or medication.

Many people are under the impression that taking anti-depressants is a good thing because it numbs the pain from the difficult experiences they are fighting through in their lives.  Unfortunately, that is not the case at all. Not only do antidepressants have a myriad of side effects associated with them but also, they do not actually resolve any problems in your life.

The unfortunate side effect of living in a society so accustomed to instant gratification is that we are constantly on the look out for a quick, easy solution to every problem. We want something that requires no work or dedication on our part but gives us all the results we desire.

The truth of the matter is the true victories in life come with hard work and dedication.

Want something that will allow you to build yourself up, improve your physical condition, but most importantly make you strong mentally? Start a workout routine.

The beauty of working out is that it doesn’t just have to be lifting weights at the gym, it can be anything! From dancing to rock climbing to gardening to jogging to martial arts, all these things are excellent forms of exercise! The most important thing is to find something you enjoy because that will help you stick to your routine.

To start, do something simple that you know you can do. Start with one or two sets of an easy exercise per day to get the ball rolling. You don’t want to overdo it and go insane your first day then find yourself so sore the next day that you can’t even move. Take your time, make tiny adjustments every day. Do a little bit more each week, then shortly you will find that you are feeling more energized and better able to handle the challenges and stresses of day to day life.

My challenge to you, start a new workout this week, try to do it every other day all week and see how you feel.

I have worked with several experienced trainers and know a wide variety of exercises that can help you be on the way to the body you want but more importantly, the mental clarity you deserve!
