“What is the work you can’t not do?” (L.C.S.)

“What is the work you can’t not do? Discover that! Live it! Not just for you, but for everyone around you. Because that is what changes the world. What is the work you can’t not do?”

Scott Dinsmore gives a speech at a Tedx Talk that is one of the most insightful, inspiring speeches I have posted on this blog to date. For a quick recap, read on below then watch the video to be inspired to pursue your passions and discover, “the work you can’t not do!”

Some Quotes from Scott Dinsmore

“Everything wasn’t possible until somebody did it.”

“What’s seen as impossible can become the new normal.”

“Warren Buffett said, ‘Taking jobs to build up your resume is the same as saving up sex for old age.’ ”

What I like about Scott is that he speaks in a very real, honest way that connects with people. You can always tell when someone is speaking with passion about a topic they truly care about. Scott has dedicated his life to helping people break out of this cycle of complacency and pursue a life filled with fulfillment.

He doesn’t use large words or complicated ideas to convey his message. He speaks in a simple, direct way that anyone can understand and relate to.

Also, Scott wasn’t an overnight success. It took four years of work with nearly zero growth to finally reach the point where he was able to start achieving success. His community finally was growing, blossoming, and developing. What changed?

Scott, like many other successful people had read, “You are a product of the five people you spend the most time with,” quoted from Jim Rohn. He started to spend time with incredible, motivational, inspiring people that were living lives filled with energy and enthusiasm. He learned from them and used those lessons to change his life forever.

Take a moment to think about the people who you spend the most time with. Do they pick you up and motivate you to pursue all your craziest, wildest dreams? Or do they try to pull you down to keep you in the same spot you have always been? Consider this and realize you have the choice to decide who you spend your time with. Make the right choice and be around people who build you up, then in turn, do the same for them.
