Two years ago Madison Robinson started a business making flip-flops in the shapes of sea creatures that light up. Sounds like a fun hobby for a young girl right? Well it has also turned into an extremely successful business selling 60,000 units and making over 1.2 million in revenue in the past year!
Don’t let the negative people in life keep you from your dreams. Imagine how many people told this 13-year-old girl that her idea wouldn’t work and if she had listened to them, she wouldn’t have achieved the incredible success she already has today.
Now, her college education is paid for and she has plenty of money in the bank for the future. She also can continue to develop her growing business and will not have many of the debt and financial worries most young adults do. It is all because she decided to pursue her dreams and listen to the positive influences in her life.
Always be conscious of who you go to when you have an idea. As Sean Stephenson one of my favorite authors and motivational speakers says, “I don’t think you should ever listen to a prediction that doesn’t make you feel better.” One thing is guaranteed, no one can predict the future so focus on believing in the predictions for the future that you want and deserve!
